Our laboratory offers homeopathic medicines used either under
their international nonproprietary name (single medicines),
or under a trademarked name (proprietary drugs).
Boiron also markets medicines based on trace elements, phytotherapy
remedies, food supplements and health and beauty care products.
Single Homeopathic Medicines
Single homeopathic medicines contain one or more ingredients,
obtained from substances from the three kingdoms: plant,
mineral, and animal.
Single medicines are manufactured by all homeopathic laboratories.
Tubes of granules and globule doses: two forms more specific
to homeopathic remedies, derived from the Hahnemannian tradition.
Proprietary Drugs
Unlike single drugs, proprietary drugs
are products specifically developed by Boiron that have a
proper name (trademark).
They bear therapeutic indications.
Proprietary drugs are of interest to the
health professions. They also have a place in family medicine.
The proprietary drugs can be prescribed by a doctor, but may
also be recommended by a pharmacist.
For animals, Boiron also offers homeopathic
proprietary drugs for veterinary use.
