Institut BOIRON

Created in 1985, Institut Boiron is a research structure set up to use the clinical experience of homeopath physicians in order to better understand homeopathic drugs.

Institut Boiron works for the development of quality homeopathy within the world of medicine and, for this purpose, has three main goals:
• to develop research in homeopathy to understand the action mechanisms and confirm its efficacy,
• to reinforce the quality of the teaching and continuing medical training,
• to foster communication within the world of medicine.

Know-how is transmitted to members of Institut Boiron by the establishment of tools, structures or even events such as the Institut Boiron Symposium. This Symposium is held every two years for academics and private practice doctors, specialists, generalists and hospital doctors on different topics in order to compare their points of view and their experiences.

This meeting represents a real focus on the different research activities of the Institut Boiron, whose specific aim is to evaluate homeopathic therapeutics.

The advantages of using homeopathy to treat both childhood migraines and menopausal hot flashes were demonstrated through a close look at the practice of physicians from many different nationalities.

The innovative use of homeopathic medicines derived from neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin) has opened up vistas for research in the field of child psychiatry (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder = HDAD) and in the field of certain neurological disorders.

In oncology, homeopathy therapeutics makes it possible to limit unwanted effects linked to chemotherapy or radiotherapy, to improve patients' quality of life and, furthermore, to help patients with their care.

The research work of the Institut stems from medical practice, and these international encounters serve to bridge day-to-day medicinal practice to the progress of homeopathic therapeutics.
